30 Healthy Snacks for Crunching Your Way Into the New Year

Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Let’s be clear: you don’t need to deprive or “detox” after the holidays. Eating pie for a few days doesn’t mean that you need to eat nothing but celery afterwards. That said, sometimes after eating pie for a few days, you genuinely crave something that tastes a little less like butter and a little more like it grew on a tree. These snacks are perfect for that feeling, or for hosting your New Year’s Eve bash for your friends who have all declared they’re going to go gluten-free, vegan AND paleo in 2015. We have tried to minimize the presence of both kale chips and variations on the nut-based “energy bite.” All bets are off when it comes to spiced nuts and granola, though.
